My apologies!! As big a fan of Costco, I have always stuck with buying big purchases from them. But, I truly believe the All state Costco insurance is absolutely useless since it doesn't cover accidents. I got the Cx 4 months back and let me tell you Oled screens are lot more fragile then regular LEDs. Something hit the TV when moving and it got a tiny crack ( hardly 1mm). I had just completed 3 months and neither Costco nor LG were willing to help. Oled's don't even start once this happens, unlike LEDs. So if you have an option, I highly recommend you buy from Best Buy or anywhere else with 'Accident Protection'. That really is the best you can do for such a large investment. Because replacing the screen by yourself is more expensive that buying the TV itself.

Best Buy warranty covers burn in. But runs about 500 extra for tv this price and doesn't cover accidents.

You have to remember that the further we are in 2021, the lower the supply of these. They usually don't go extremely low because the entire supply gets exhausted, so they don't have to discount it that far.

Most likely the only way you're getting one at $2,700 at a Costco is with a display model.
True. Plus this last year is like no other w Covid. But look at new Sony already 3500 for 77 inches. Looks impressive. Saw it last week and now Costco carrying Sony oled.

Plus this year stores don't have any in stock either. You have to order and wait for a while to get them. I'm leaning towards new Sony. IMO

Best Buy doesn't offer accidental protection for TVs. The warranty covers everything but accidental damage.

Then the additional warranty is really a gimmick. I thought I had 6-7 yrs warranty through Costco Visa card and paid more to go with Costco. But when it comes to TV's they are no better. So please beware. Buy dig had accidental coverage in some of its deals( if you're comfortable buying from them) or you can buy accidental coverage separately.

You can also call your homeowners insurance company. Many off accidental damage protection on electronics. I pay $6 a month and it covers every electronic device in my house for accidental damage.
Which company are you paying to? and what is the deductible? That's seems too good to be true

Seeing $350 Best buy GC with GX series which puts it at 3500 -350 = $3150, which is $100 higher than CX series. I'm not familiar with CX vs GX series? Is there any significant difference other than the bottom panel? Is it worth paying $100 more for the GX series?

When is prime day? I'm waiting as well. Sony 77 a80 is 3500 in Best Buy, Amazon and Costco already. With hdmi 2.1. I saw it last week in best buy and looking pretty good. IMO.
They haven't announced a date for Prime Day yet but in their last earnings report stated it would be late in the 2nd quarter, that should mean sometime in June. Since they went 40% off the a9g's last year, even with this new cut I'm hoping for something like $2999 or better on these.

The biggest difference is the GX is thinner as it's meant to be mounted flush against the wall, I don't believe they even include a stand, though they sell one for $100. It does include the wall mount while the CX does not. The GX also has better speakers, 60w vs 40w on the CX. The GX also has ATSC 3.0 while the CX does not, though that really does not matter to many at this point. I will warn that some professionals hate dealing with the GX, it is so thin some find it difficult to mount.

Thank you. That helps. Seems like I'll go for CX.

Wow. I didn't know that. How much was the a9g last year? Covid messed everything up. Technically a9g is almost 2 years old. Because of Covid they never released the a8h 77"

Purchased this TV with extended coverage for $3250 a month ago. My Costco has marked them down to $3049 everything else being the same. Got my $214 credit with tax.

Same, liberty mutual but it's more like $20/yr for me. There is no deductible and it's separate from home coverage so a claim doesn't raise rate. Note: my agent did say that they were finding that if customers jumped ship and went to a different homeowners insurance company that the new company would see/use it as a previous claim and cause a higher rate at the new company. I guess it's fine if you stick with liberty mutual though

Look for FOMO channel on YouTube, he and associates do fantastic reviews and comparisons with easily digestible info and real-people explanations. They have no problem saying "sure this thing is a little better in this aspect, but still recommending the CX as it's really the best bang for your buck" that is literally their response in all CX C1 GX g1 Sony a9j, you name it. They always come back to CX and say get it before it's gone but don't wait for new C1 to drive down the CX price because LG always kills production on previous model and C1 isn't worth the extra. Once the CX is out of stock it's gone forever
