FYI, that Target price is just for the phone. This HSN deal is for the phone and 365-day plan.

Don't let them see the splash screen when it boots and you will retain big deal status....until you tell them they cant borrow the phone cause you only have 150MB of data left for the rest of the year...

They have these sales all the time, never buy a full price plan, just keep upgrading & combining service time. Mine are paid up for a few years from cheap deals.

The 12 months of service that comes with the phone from the HSN deal are considered promotional airtime and does NOT count toward the unlocking requirement that is buried on their unlocking page:

"Device must have been activated on TracFone service for no fewer than 12 months.
Device must have redeemed no fewer than 12 months of service."

The 1 year of service that comes with these phone purchased at HSN does not count as "redeemed" months of service.
