This is the same model from Black Friday last year that was 399 I believe. I got it, it's a great little work horse especially the CPU. I upgraded it to 32gb ram. Only thing that prevents this for being my daily laptop is my version did not come with backlit keyboard. Some did some didnt.

I bought it for $349 a couple of weeks after Black Friday. Unfortunately, I couldn't pick it up on time.

Walmart's specs state that 8 GB is the maximum amount of RAM supported (suggesting that the included RAM is soldered).

nope, not soldered ram. In most cases, soldered ram in the specs will state something like, LPDDR4x. Non-soldered ram in the specs will state something like, DDR4 or DIMM. Although some sites like Lenovo's store will use LPDDR4x or say DDR4 (soldered) instead of using exclusively LPDDR4x (or some variant of it). But the whole point is if you don't see the "LP" before the reference of what kind of memory it is, odds are it is replaceable

It was 379 on BF. Terrible build quality. Mine squealed so I had to return it. HP crappy crappy service! SAY NO to hp.
