This is half the price and twice the volume of the bottle version.
Can you seal these tear open packets?

I will also echo what others said. I bought the bottle a while ago. Used a small drop and ants came out of everywhere and ate the liquid. Next morning, no ants in sight. Its hard to resist but do not kill any of the ants you see. Let them eat it, take it back to their nest and spread the poison around. Winning!

Surprisingly had a $5 award certificate online so total came out to $1.59 after tax for two 6 packs.

This stuff works great. I use it, and after 1 day, the ant trail disappears.

This doesn't mean it's an end-all solution; you should really find out how the ants keep getting into the house in the first place. For us, our windows were so old that the ants were making their way in through the drywall around the windows. When the new windows were installed, the drywall framing was redone and properly sealed. Boom, no more ants.

Bought them. Useless. Stained the floor. Ants are smart. Dead ants blocked the entrance.

You can get a 1oz resealable bottle for $3 at the big box stores. Lasts for years. Works for me. Used to use Harris liquid, until they discontinued it. They sent me to Terro.

You know what also works without laying out toxic chemicals - mix Borax & Powdered Sugar in an old milk jug cap. They take both to their holes and kills the hive. Stop using needless chemicals
That's literally what this is einstein. laugh out loud

sure does. but do you know why they go bad in like 6 months even if they are unopeend? i end up tossing half of a 6 pack every year as i only need 3 per year to get em during the peak season. im hoping someone can tell me a way to make them keep longer(freezing, keeping out of sun, etc?)
I finally switched to making my own using borax. Its cheaper and more reliable.

For the folks recommending mixing Borax/Sugar - are there different types of Borax?

Or any old $5 bag of "Borax Laundry Booster" from amazon will work?

I did.
I taped it up pretty thoroughly.
The liquid is still liquidity.

I had most of one still pretty full by the time the ants stopped coming in.
I had bought 2 boxes from Ace last year with the same deal.
I still have an unopened box.
But I might buy another one.
So far this spring I haven't seen any of the little jerks but you need to be prepared.

I had made a homemade version of this stuff the year before and it seemed to help get rid of the ants but I found that this Terro worked faster and better.

It really is hard to not want to take drastic action when you see the hundreds of them after they went back to the nest and told all their friends so they start a stampede.

In my head I'm screaming 'Get Out of MY HOUSE!!' but I let them have the feast and go back home to kill all their friends.

This stuff really does a great job.

Borax is a compound (so only one type) and it's the shorter name for sodium borate. 20 Mule Team is the only brand I've ever seen readily available in larger quantities. It works great in the laundry as well and is also an ingredient in homemade slime (if you have kids).

While these do work decently, I find them hard to tear open, and they can seep product out into the floor, making a sticky mess. I'd recommend the kind you can stick in place for indoors, as it hides the trap a bit and keeps it from getting bumped.

Now that I know these can be made easily, I'll just whip up my own. Thanks to those posting the recipes.
