game changer for handheld mode

i cant play any other way and much better than those grips they sell for joycons

only downside is there is no rumble

Am I just being dumb or does this design seem like it could put a lot of torque on the rails of the switch and break it if a bit of pressure is applied or if dropped.

I'm quite happy with how the switch feels with the Satisfye grip. I also like how securely it holds the switch and the joy con. Definitely adds structural integrity where you can hold it with one hand without worrying about it.

What you're showing is just a grip, and does not functionally change the buttons or sticks. Not saying the Satisfye isn't worthy of consideration, but it's kind of an apples and oranges comparison to the Hori pads.

Quite comfortable, especially for my large hands. I ultimately returned mine because of the lack of motion controls, incompatibility with even my larger carrying case, and the programmable buttons not accepting an input from the opposite side.

There is no better switch grip than the Satisfye ZenGrip Pro and it's nearly half the cost of this slickdeal. Their sales videos show how much consideration the put into their products. I bought the standalone grip but then I went back to buy the Elite case bundle (can't buy the case by itself, but its fine because I can gift the extra grip to my friend). I let my coworker hold it for about 30 seconds and he immediately bought the Slim case bundle. You know as soon you feel it in your palms.

edit: I have been informed that this slickdeal includes programmable and turbo buttons which makes it a different product and justifies the cost difference. But if you don't care for those extra buttons, I highly recommend the ZenGrip.

It is worth it from the opinion of a guy who actually owns this and owns a Satisfye grip for joycons. I don't even miss the rumble during handheld. I don't like my small screen shaking during gameplay. Not a perfect controller but again, I believe it's worth the price. I do hope sales go well enough for them to produce a version 2.0 at some point.

Also HORI is and has been for a long time, a known gaming accessories brand.

On another note, this grip fits in the large Satisfye case while still attached. Not a perfect fit but it fits well enough.

I just commented below you but give the Satisfye ZenGrip Pro a try. You'll probably need the case bundle (it wouldn't fit my switch case either) but it has everything else you want (extremely comfortable w/ motion controls).

Ah oops, you're right. I will edit so other people know. ZenGrip for people who don't want programmable and turbo buttons.

I highly recommend these controllers, which saves a lot of wrist pain and much better gaming performance. I rarely played my switch with the original controllers, and bought this a couple months ago. This controller is a real game changer, so you have an actual full size console controller feel.

Even at regular price, this is one of the few things I would pay full price

Can anyone comment on battery drain? I saw an Amazon customer review about noticing faster battery drain with these pads compared to joycons, but nothing specific. I can't believe not one person out there has done a side by side comparison of battery drain with these. I'm tempted to get this just so I can test it myself.

I can't say how much, but it would definitely have battery drain as there is no built in battery in the controllers themselves.

I've played quite the roster of different games on a v1 and v2 Switch with the Split Pad Pro and the battery drain is negligible. IF the battery drains any faster than joycons being attached, it would be less than 5% faster. Likely will notice moreso if you're running with Turbo options on through a whole playthrough.

How is it off brand? Hori has been making accessories for consoles ever since the 1980s. These are also officially licensed by Nintendo.
