How's it compares to Nimbus? Love my Nimbus which always support the feet much better than other brands shoes after long time and intense workout. Really interested in these Cumulus as well. Thanks.

Haven't owned either, so take this with a grain of salt, but I've been researching a lot of running shoes lately, and people say the Cumulus are similar to the Nimbus, but are a little less plush / padded on the upper, which makes them a little lighter, but possibly slightly less comfy feeling.

This is a good deal. The Gel Cumulus is between the GT-2000 and Kayano in the line. I've been fitted for all three at my local running store (something I recommend every runner do), and the Cumulus did have good padding in the sole, but to me, the Kayano was quite a bit better, so I went with that shoe. Still, can't do much better for $54.

And I *just* got mine from JackRabbit in the last slickdeal for $80!!! Makes me wonder if I should pick up my next set of running shoes now.

For those asking about Nimbus vs Cumulus - they're for the same type of foot/same type of runner. I used to go back and forth between the two, but found that the Nimbus wears out a bit faster - and when it wears out I notice it more, than the Cumulus. With the Cumulus I feel the road a bit more and I feel like I have a bit more foot control and spring, while the Nimbus is definitely very plush.

If Nimbus goes on sale at these prices (they do from time to time) I usually pick up a pair for my every-day shoes. But I don't buy them anymore for running as I've gravitated to and prefer the firmer feel of the Cumulus.

I saw that deal from Jack Rabbit and passed on it. For $80 I would wait for Nimbus since I never tried them. Nimbus seems like the most expensive model of the three.
