Actually, this is a good price that even beats Harbor Freight.

But, if you are by a Menards, their Tool Shop 4-1/2" Turbo Rim Diamond Blade [menards.com] that stays cooler with dry cuts is $3.99 and $3.55 after rebate.

If you want other than made in China, you will pay more.

Unless cutting lengthwise and then use a wet tile saw like the small Ridgid when it is on sale, just use a bottle cutter that uses a common Fletcher glass cutter and score all the way around for the fracture to follow. Heat is your issue with the saw, as you are fracturing the glass, so go kind of slow with a wet blade so as not to have the fracture run out ahead of you that will be random.

Glass is easy enough to cut, but finishing the edges might be your real issue. You could use a belt sander upside down with silica carbide belts, but running dry, you have to be careful with the heat. Start out with a 120, then 220 and then 400. They do make a cork belt for final finish, but a little stick wax on the 400 grit will do well.

Our old glass cutting machine that came from PPG has a brass blade that runs in water that I don't think can be bought today.... but basically a predecessor to the wet tile saw. Our old beveling machine is a heavy steel wheel that turns flat and with water, uses carborundum in different grits. It is quite the art that my Grandfather was good at... a necklace deal with notches that determined the angle of bevel. Our glass grinder is an older Sommer & Maca with a 106" wet belt. Sommer & Maca was bought out by C.R. Lawrence, their long time competitor, that sells most anything you would need.

Thanks op. Hopefully this will be enough (depth wise) for my sidewalk cut so I can install a "french drain" for one of my downspouts. Although 1.5" or less of actual cutting depth seems like it's leaving a log of ugliness on the table as I'm guessing realistic sidewalk (not city sidewalk, but pathway to front door) is still 3" if not much more

I'd imagine it gum up the blades real quick (still will "cut") but at that speed solid disc of metal should be able to cut(melt) PVC I'd bet so it's overkill

Looks like the blade at Menards is discontinued with very limited stock.

Will this cut through porcelain tile cleanly without chips. I intend using it on a Tacklife circular saw at about 3500 rpm
The tacklife has a 3/8" arbor so I need a reducer from 7/8" to 3/8". Not sure if that exists.

Unfortunately no, anything "turbo" won't cut tile smooth in my experience (turbos are better suited for softer materials that clog or resist smoother blades). Best thing for porcelain is water and not too aggressive (but not as smooth as glass tile blade). Or if it's possible for cuts then track tile cutter is better but it should have bearings and snap plate and those versions cost over $100 usually.
