Although it's true in this case that statement is not necessarily true. A lot of Thin & Light budget or mid-range premium laptops come with completely soldered DDR4 ram. Examples are Lenovo Yoga 7i or HP Envy 13 x360. Both come with soldered DDR4 3200 memory. Lenovo Flex series from 2020, IdeaPad 5, both Ryzen and Intel, come with soldered DDR4 memory.

Using a network port that tops out at 100Mbps is odd. Everything else looks good.

It has DDR4 , so should be expandable. The RAM starting with L (LDDR4) is usually not expandable.

Seems like a reasonable laptop for basic web/productivity tasks.
FHD, 256GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM.
Roughly similar performance to an 10th Gen i3.

Should (will) run all those fine. It'll run CSGO and Valorant for sure as well.
