Home Depot has select Ryobi ONE+ 18-Volt Cordless Power Tool Bundles on sale starting at $69. Shipping is free or select free ship-to-store pickup where available.
Thanks to community member XxHALOGENxX for finding this deal.
Note: Availability for store pickup may vary by location.
the ryobi multitool takes an allen key to swap blades. kind of a pain, but nbd. im not in a race. but the jobplus system doesnt have a storage spot for the allen key. this seems like a pretty silly nitpick till you have to change blades and there isnt an allen key in sight.
also, the base isnt variable speed... which sort of sucks for some of the attachments.
its a cheap way to get a handful of tools, but do note that there are limitations. im not trying to steer anyone away from the deal, but these are things to know before you buy that you might not think about.
Thanks for the heads up! I am actually interested in the multitool, but I'm holding out for the Ryobi Days deal on the 24th, but this would be a reasonable deal if that one wasn't so close!
Consider with what we know about Ryobi Days coming up I believe you can get two 4.0 AH battiers and a free Jobplus for $99 in that sale. This deal comes with a single 1.5 Ah battery.

Seen a couple of people in this thread claim the JobPlus is not variable speed. The JobPlus has a variable speed trigger, it just doesn't have the dial that the regular Multi-tool has. I prefer the variable trigger, makes it easier to adjust speed while using the tool for me.
Different brand so no???
The black and Decker your taking about is let grade and didn't last long. Plus ryobisv other tools are a better system to get into the black and Decker.
First, these are quite different tools you're wanting to compare...
Second, the B&D matrix, in my experience of using one set, is pretty crappy consumer quality. I used a friend's at his house and it was almost new and it had a bad spot in the motor's commutator where the brushes didn't work so you had to turn it manually to get it turning again. I was not impressive.
Finally, this particular multitool setup from Ryobi and Ridgid is not bad, but it's not very good for use as an oscillating tool (which is its primary purpose). There are a lot of nice rigid tools that attach to this powerhead (and they are much more $$ than the B&D), but you will want a dedicated oscillating tool if you use it more than a few times per year on real projects besides drywall or thin wood.
Bought for my light duty household work and repairs. I understand there are better same tools out there with 2x the price but I'm just an average joe whose doing small works in the house.
I just bought the Dewalt oscillating brushless tool FP deal from Acme tools: https://slickdeals.net/f/15021649-dewalt-20v-max-xr-3-speed-oscillating-tool-kit-99-free-s-h-on-199?v=1 for $99 ($101 out the door with the coupon noted below). I have Ryobi and Bosch tools and I am strictly DIY, so having the same line of tools doesn't mean as much to me, but having a battery and a charger, do! Also, for a newbie DIY, the Dewalt one does not require an allen wrench to change the blades and this appealed to me.
I was able to get the coupon for $10 off $75 from Acme tools by signing up for text. They charge about $7 for shipping.

I find it preferable to the changeable head argle-bargle unit.
Also it is variable speed, unlike the other.

Cordless would have been nice, but for how often I use it (not much) it's easily paid for itself!

Anyone able to direct me to which items I should buy if I just need a set of power tools for basic screwing in, drilling, etc?
(Clearly not a sophisticated home improvement person but I just need someone for assembling furniture, removing / installing faceplates, etc.)
And should I wait for this Ryobi Days 2021 deal that folks are talking about?

Would this be a good starter drill set for someone?
