This actually isn't a bad deal considering ram prices have been going up.

These are either dual rank Micron E-Die (19nm) or single rank Micron B-die (17nm) for the 32GB 2x16 model. (You'll likely get a Micron B-die kit at this point in time.) 2x8 model should be Micron E-die. Both have seen manual clocks up towards 5000mhz on AMD Ryzen Zen2+ and Rocketlake IMC's on half ratio.

They cant be tuned as low as Samsung B-die in regards to sub timings, but they excel in regards to providing excellent performance and massive clocks if tuning manual. Would definitely take these over any other type of chip on the market right now if you just want to run XMP with occasional tuning.

The better binned 3600 CL16 model has great performance in synthetic benchmarks, but its not on sale Stick Out Tongue
$148 is for 32gb. The 16gb is $74

Yes ram prices are going up

This is for 2x16gb = 32gb ram sticks. Your link is for 2x8gb = 16gb

If you change your linked product to 32gb it's $176

Gonna be a wild ride for the RAM market over the next couple years with the usual price fixing, wacko supply/demand, plus the upcoming transition to DDR5.

if one waits for the price to always be the lowest then one will have a very old computer when built

Are the RAM prices going up because of crypto mining? I'm just curious if adding this to a 3060 RTX HP omen will increase mining profits. TIA.

EDIT: Just did a quick search and the 16GB I have should be sufficient.

This was $90 on Black Friday. Maybe a good deal if you need ram now but not great if you can wait. Ram prices will come back down.
