Good to know. I am a Liberty customer with their 1GB plan, and wish to point out that any unused data does not roll over to the next month.

Federal Communications Commission's (FCC's) Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program. The EBB Program offers your household up to $50 per month to pay for broadband service (up to $75 per month if you live on eligible tribal lands). The program also offers a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet purchased from a participating service provider if you pay more than $10 but less than $50 of the purchase price
Ok, not quite relevant, but do note that it is just for ONE month and most ISPs (especially Verizon) make you sign up for a different more expensive plan which negates any savings.

Hi there...
What a great cheap deal... I was not aware of it. Thanks for pointing out Hello Mobile's $5 plan.

Edgar
Be advised that Hello Mobile has horrible reviews. Check reddit. Data just randomly stops working for people, and customer service sucks of course.

I noticed that, but still gave them a try and had no problems at all. They have intro offer of getting 2nd month free and all taxes included. Only reason I didn't stick with them was coverage inside buildings.

Just a reminder that Liberty Wireless has what I believe is the lowest price for unlimited calls and texts (and NO data) on the T-Mobile network -- just $5 a month via a $60 year-long card at eBay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/17458289...Swi9ZfkzSR

This type of account would be perfect for a grandparent, for example, who wants cell service, but does not use data.

This company are crooks! They send out bad sim cards for this so called cheapest year plan! You have been warned!

TMobile mvno services and priorities are utter crap, hence the low prices.
Hummm...
Well from 10/18 to 01/21 I used Mint, a MNVO of TMobile.
Service was equal to T-Mobile.
Late in 01/21 switched to Metro, another MNVO of TMobile.
(They offered a free OnePlus Nord N10 phone. Wouldn't resist.)
Service is equal to Mint and to T-Mobile.
So, as they say: "ALL generalizations are false, including this one!"

I tried it. They immediately started hitting me with fraudulent charges and have no customer service. It is nothing but a scam.
Freedom Pop.
Scam artistes par excellence. Signed on for their *free* service a few years ago, by buying their phone for ? $20-$30. Service (?) totally unreliable. Eventually sold the phone on eBay, and buyer complained that Freedom Pop (somewhere in Arizona) said phone would not work on their system.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household. I think you automatically get first Mo. credit then on 2nd billing ( and until program is dead) you have to call carrier and have credits applied. Not sure.

Hello's coverage is as good as Liberty's - they use the same network.

TextNow's free plan is pretty good if you don't use data.

Where does it say 1 month? From what I understand it gives you $50 ONCE a month, not just 1 month

I got this bizarre reply from customer service, both via chat and phone. The person said that if the system didn't accept my address then Tmobile service in my area is bad. I told him that I am already on Tmo and that coverage in my area is excellent. I'm in New York City. He wouldn't budge. With that sort of ridiculous reply I'm loathe to even try their service.
NYC addresses sometimes don't match up with usps nationwide system. If you are in Queens, drop the dash "-" from between your cross street/Avenue number and your actual house number. For example. 199-02 44th Avenue, Bayside, ny 11361...... Goes well with 19902 44 Avenue.......
