Good to know. I am a Liberty customer with their 1GB plan, and wish to point out that any unused data does not roll over to the next month.

You can neither port in or port out your number from the free plan making it unworthy.
Can you explain?
Did you try to port out or port in ?
What reason did customer service give for denying the port-out/port-in?

I didn't know that. I just started with them, and got the first month free. I just checked my account to renew it will cost 19.91 per month for 5GB unlimited plan. It is more expensive than Mint's 4GB (which comes to around $200-205 for a year). Good thing though is US Mobile is month-to-month. Also if you travel internationally they give you free data if your phone can support eSIM.
So $10 US Mobile plan gets you free international data? Wow, good to know.

Yes CS said free plan will not allow port in or out which makes the deal good only for temporary visitors. Otherwise they are more expensive than other carriers.

I think only their "unlimited" plans includes international data free. I just checked my account. The cheapest "unlimited" plan is $12 for 1GB of high speed data. With "fees" it shows $16.48 per month..

Ah ok, thanks. You've used it overseas? Their international eSIM rates are great too.

I contacted email support with a request to process the port-in over email because their phone support insisted that free plans were not eligible. This was their response:

Hi again,

I'm so sorry you went thru that. This free SIM/ plan is a new promo we recently launched. Was able to talk to my Call-Center team and they are now fully aware of how everything works. When you receive your SIM card, please call back 1-877-304-1983 so they can start the port-in process. They are the only ones that can do it. They will be expecting your call.

Regards,

I already signed up for the Tello second-month-free deal for $5, and Tello has an online interface for port-ins that doesn't require me to interact with any uncooperative customer service representatives, so if Liberty Wireless is restricting port-outs in addition to port-ins on free plans, I might not even bother anymore with them. Is that even possible since porting is initiated from the destination carrier side?

I put in the code "APPLOVE" and it kept giving me an error so I tried it a few times.... then it said "you have reached the maximum redemptions".

It now says I have 5gb of data!

@Nebuchadn3zzar, which "mobile app" did you sign up for Liberty Wireless with?

I installed https://play.google.com/store/app...tywireless. It expects a phone number upon launch, which I take is the Liberty Wireless number?

Would appreciate if you can share more details as I also tried to sign up for my nephew using Web browser and address wasn't accepted.

When you did a copy paste or use auto fill the website is not taking the address.. so start typing the address and select the drop down suggestion.. that should resolve the issue.. I did faced same issue yesterday but was able to place order with the above workaround..

Thanks for the confirmation.
The 6-digit account number and 4-digit PIN are readily available on the account profile [libertywireless.com] online.
I can confirm that you can port out using the 6-digit account number and 4-digit PIN on your account profile. You do not have to contact customer service by phone, email, or chat. I successfully ported out yesterday.

Can you check where to find the PIN? I can only see the 6-digit account number, as well as the password (not 4-digit), on the profile page. Thanks!
