I have had decent success with Walmart Brickseek deals in the past if there were 2-3 available. Now, it seems that Walmart is changing its reporting system (as mentioned on Brickseek website as well). I was at my local Walmart last night and they had 3 Netgear CM500 modems on display for $45 each. This morning, the price dropped down to $13.5, still showing 2-3 available. I went there in evening, very sure I will be able to get 1. Not only were they not present, their price display sign had also been removed. Chatted with 2 different employees and was told that they got sent back to Walmart this morning as they are changing how they deal with clearance items.
Yeah its not enclosed or hot. What speed are you getting on a 1 gig service?
I wish 1 gig was only $80. It's like $130 here. I have a CM8200 but ended up using a XB7 from Comcast because it was cheaper to rent it than pay separately for unlimited data. 800 Mbps plan for about $100 (recently bumped up from 600).
Yeah I am going to have to upgrade to a better cable modem. I am currently using the SB8200 cable modem. Maybe that's why i am having crappy speeds.
That would be able to handle the speed but Arris modems suck. I had SB6183. Overheated, made bad smells and speeds dropped. Sent it back for a warranty fix and the 2nd did the same. Got the CM500...never have had an issue. Well good luck. Hope you get it all set.
I don't think you read it right. I was at the store 3 times following the Brickseek deals. There were items in stock but the store was not ready to honor the price. Then I contacted customer support in store and online.
I get that you're new at this but YOU didn't read Brickseek right:

I have NEVER had any luck with anything on Brickseek. I gave up on them.

Hey brickseek works pretty well in my area. Before I go to work, I always check on brickseek to see if I can get anything from Walmart or Target. It's on the way to work and helps with my food bills and utilities. From $15 dollar air fryers to $20 dollar ice makers, hart tools for $5 or less and wireless routers for $37.25. You can make some decent little Timmy money. The best part is you can return everything if I can't flip it for a profit. This was my haul for the last couple of days.

Yeah Optimum gives good life time deals if you call the retention department and speak to them nicely.

He's definitely in the minority with these deals then because most because I strike out 95% of the time these days mostly because of the employees who horde and hide these items to flip. Can only imagine the environmental impact these stupid threads have. I think half the problem is these threads get so many thumbs up when clearly most people strike out judging by responses. Rep the OP for their efforts if you want but please start thumbing down these unable to replicate deals people.
These types of deals are listed "ymmv" always have been. You have to accept that clearance deals are not uniformly the same throughout every Walmart.
I've taken the time to do a little hunting. Sometimes I hit no problem. Sometimes it takes a little searching. Sometimes it takes talking to not 1, 2, or even 3 people. Just depends on how much you want the deal and how much leg work you're willing to put in to get it

Went to a Walmart near me. Item wasn't at the designated spot, the signage was there but no item. Walmart employee asked if I needed help, they checked inventory, went to the back and I got the Netgear AX1800 4 Stream Wifi 6. Thanks!
