I have had decent success with Walmart Brickseek deals in the past if there were 2-3 available. Now, it seems that Walmart is changing its reporting system (as mentioned on Brickseek website as well). I was at my local Walmart last night and they had 3 Netgear CM500 modems on display for $45 each. This morning, the price dropped down to $13.5, still showing 2-3 available. I went there in evening, very sure I will be able to get 1. Not only were they not present, their price display sign had also been removed. Chatted with 2 different employees and was told that they got sent back to Walmart this morning as they are changing how they deal with clearance items.
These types of deals are listed "ymmv" always have been. You have to accept that clearance deals are not uniformly the same throughout every Walmart.
I've taken the time to do a little hunting. Sometimes I hit no problem. Sometimes it takes a little searching. Sometimes it takes talking to not 1, 2, or even 3 people. Just depends on how much you want the deal and how much leg work you're willing to put in to get it
Yeah, I've scored few deals from Walmart BS deals like some sound bars and TVs, maybe a phone or two but it's literally been years since I've been able to capitalize on anything posted here. And it's always been a case of finding helpful employee who's willing to look in the back or in a locked up storage cabinet. But in the last couple of years landscape has changed on these deals because it's mostly a bunch of young kids working there trying to make a few extra bucks on the side flipping electronics on eBay or Craigslist. You can't really blame them because it's a crappy low paying job but all I'm saying is that these deals (particularly Walmart) are a waste of time and gas. Now BS/Walmart inventory doesn't line up correctly from what I see so these Walmart/BS deals are even more a waste of time now.
How would the Netgear AX1800 (C6250) compare against the Netgear Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR450?
I'm currently using the XR450 and honestly, I haven't been overly impressed. It tends to drop signal for a few seconds 3 or 4 times every day (both wired and wireless) and the range/signal strength is mediocre at best (for example, my son can't get a good signal in his bedroom, which is only about 20' and 3-4 walls away from the router.) Sitting on my patio, about 30' away, the signal is just "ok" at best.
Thanks OP, been waiting for a sale on the Wakey, and this is half of what I was waiting for it to cost. Picked up one of those and a Linksys AX1500 after work with my total being about half of what the router alone normally costs.
The problem isn't necessarily the deals, it's the employees that either A: put the price ON the items or B: Frequents this site like we do. OR 'professional' flippers.
Good deals, but check with COMCAST BEFORE you buy (if you are able to find them using TRICKseek). Comcast told me last time they didn't support NETGEAR CM500, BUT they will support NETGEAR CM500V. I has to tell them the modem was working before, so they can cut their sales BS and make it work. So they were able to magically make it work again.

CM500 for $19 & RAX20 AX1800 for $38 @ Gretna supercenter
And the Netgear CM500 modem for $27!
Thanks OP! I just bought a new house and needed a new set up. My youngest sister was with me and she was shocked 😂
