I have had decent success with Walmart Brickseek deals in the past if there were 2-3 available. Now, it seems that Walmart is changing its reporting system (as mentioned on Brickseek website as well). I was at my local Walmart last night and they had 3 Netgear CM500 modems on display for $45 each. This morning, the price dropped down to $13.5, still showing 2-3 available. I went there in evening, very sure I will be able to get 1. Not only were they not present, their price display sign had also been removed. Chatted with 2 different employees and was told that they got sent back to Walmart this morning as they are changing how they deal with clearance items.

I picked up 2 Netgear RAX20 in Miami to replace my older R7000. The R7000 didnt support AX or wireless speeds of 800+mbps. The 2nd RAX 20 is now set up as an AP. I live in a 2 story with thick concrete. Now getting 720 wireless speed. Thank you all for the heads up on this deal.

Let me add some more info. So, later on, I found another Walmart about 20 miles away showing 3 available. Against brickseek rules, I called them, they did have it in stock and I was able to get it for $13.5.

But, later I continued to have problems with my internet, ended up calling Netgear and they refused to provide customer support since this was a discontinued model which Walmart was not authorized to continue selling. Kept asking for a copy of my receipt so that they could bring it up with Walmart. I didn't give them the receipt as I didn't want any Walmart employee to get in trouble for giving me a good deal.

So, this could have been just a Netgear thing. That said, my internet issue turned out to be faulty Comcast wiring outside my house. Modem is working great now.

it's probably a netgear thing.

they sued amazon sellers for selling their stuff. I think they claimed copyright, trademark, or counterfeit. some sort of BS.
