Bought this a few weeks ago with 5% eBay bucks for my father. Trusted Taiwanese brand (unlike Lenovo, etc.) with minimal bloatware, as the only program I uninstalled was Norton. The fingerprint scanner is a nice touch since this laptop isn't compatible with Windows Hello.

Laptop came looking brand new with a quality case/sleeve, the only issue I had was a missing rubber foot. I sent an eBay message to Acer and they sent me 2 new rubber feet that took about a week to get to me!

I bought this a couple weeks ago to do my taxes. It is a much nicer laptop than I thought it was going to be. Absolutely worth the money. Now the bad... as it is refurb, you may or not have my experience. I had to wipe my down as it was a little dirty. It also had some minor scratches on the cover and a tiny dent you can only see when it is closed at an angle. I give it a 8.5 out of 10. Definitely not new, but very good used condition.

I bought 3 for my office the other week. 1 was brand new , 2 had a few minor skuffs and maybe used for a few weeks. 1 had an incorrect windows license and I updated it from the sticker on the bottom.
Very happy and no issues. The 2 year warranty is nice and so far no ones complained.

Screen brightness is fine for me, really no different than other inexpensive laptops. I much prefer the 14" size over my previous 15.6" one and 1920x1080 is a must for me. I only tested the stylus to make sure it worked (which it did). Can't compare it to anything else as I've never had one before.

Just get rid of Norton. Windows defender is all you need

I also bought one a few weeks ago as replacement for wife's older (2013) Acer Aspire One 13.3".

She is very happy with it. The touch screen / folding stuff is overkill for her at this time, but may become more useful as she gets used to it.

Ours absolutely looked liked someone took it of the a factory sealed box and placed it directly into the brown refurb box for shipment to our house...

We have had several small Acer's over the years and never had problems with any of them.

Hopefully, this one will be same - and we won't have need of the two year warranty.
