I'm now well past caring what happens to this site as it continues to spin into the abyss. They can shill, allow shilling and crappy stuff all the want. I've tried over the years to help spot rip offs like this post. I give up. Not my job. I will find other places to enjoy. As far as this site is concerned, I'm a leach.

This is not the correct address. This 'company' (seller) is run from someone's home in Covina, CA. They used the same tag-line and phone number in different websites. Frankly, it's even worse.
If you want to get into metal detecting as a hobby, get an ACE 200 at a minimum (but once you get the "bug" you'll want to upgrade. I'd suggest the AT Pro or Minelab Equinox 600 or 800).
For putzing around the yard or a park, the 200 would be an ok starter machine.
Although I'm interested in what they mean by this:

And then I noticed the Walmart seller and shipper is Boutiques Direct with 0% feedback, that granted, is better than negative....
A lot of people do not actually read the posts, but the red negatives should still stand out.
