I got mine for a out $120 less when Best buy had a sale.

I have a busier neighborhood so it triggers the 2 street cameras a lot and I don't get a full year out of those without recharging.

There are better cams, but I just wanted an easy camera system and a good app. And I wanted it simple.

I do regret not going solar for them... I've just gotten into a bit more solar for things like motion detection spotlights, and love them. But I know very little about it lol.

Keep an eye out for sales. The full price is steep, but it was worth it to me when I got it discounted. I probably wouldn't have bought it at the price Amazon lists. But when best buy had a sale, I jumped on immediately lol.

Also, they make 180day battery life versions that are less $ but the 365 day battery versions on sale weren't much more than the 180 day version at the time.

If you car about security and want 24/7 surveillance. Go with poe with an NVR yes it's expensive and it's a bit of a hassle to do the wires but after that you can be sure you don't miss anything

I have three of them bought around March. I like the function of setting motion detecting area, which reduce tons of false alarm.

It's not bad for $18 and also supports RTSP.

Are you sure? I have a few of their older ones going with blue iris DVR but when I tried one of these newer ones they seemed to have gone to a cloud only platform.

Their app gives you RTSP link, and I've been using it with iSpy. Check the reviews on Amazon.

I have two of them (bought a 3rd but haven't used yet). Pleased with them. Nice upgrade from my old Foscams. Good quality color image. Compact solid cam. Very easy setup with app. App is decent. Got mine to work with TinyCam (RTSP) too. Good deal for <$20.

I got tired of dealing with these cheap cameras. They have too many flaws.

To me a "Wireless" camera isn't wireless if it requires a 12v power supply. I went to a wireless, rechargeable and never looked back. I only charge it once every 7-10 months, and the motion detection aspects are far greater than the cheaper cams.

Now... this is a deal if you want a camera deterent. I mean, just the fact that a camera is visible helps to keep up security.

Just spend the extra $ on a good wifi wireless system. I went with Eufy after having a lot of issues with Defender cams, and the Eufy has been great. Plus I'm a tech idiot, so I need simplicity. I'm not wanting to run more wires than I have to lol.
