Mediocre chain Chicago style pizza probably not going to do too well in the city that invented Chicago style pizza.

Bunch of these near me in the Chicago area closed (before Covid). If you can't sell pizza in Chicago where can you sell it?

There used by be quite a few locations where I am (OKC area) but over the years they disappeared and now not a single one is left here. Doesn't surprise me as the food wasn't anything extravagant or terrible. Was kinda pricey as well

Yeah, Craftworks (parent company of Old Chicago, Logan's Roadhouse, etc) filed for bankruptcy protection a week or two into the pandemic last year. Both of the aforementioned restaurants in my city basically closed without notice, even to the employees. Nearest one is now 2.5 hours away.

In most respects, Logan's was straight ass and didn't deserve to be in business. I liked Old Chicago when they had their "dollar night" ($1 each piece) but they stopped that. I never bought a pizza there because it was too expensive for what it was. I think they made most of their money off their huge on-tap beer selection...

There are several new ones over the past couple years where I live, and they are far from mediocre.

I thought this company was behind rock bottom brewery as well. Another chain that has essentially disappeared. Used to get huge mugs of craft brew for 2 bucks on the $2 Tuesday special.

They don't do Chicago style pizza (at least if you've ever had Chicago style and don't understand the difference), it's just a name. They're more of a tap room that serves decent pizza.
