I speak from the perspective of an severely abused Walmart brickseek user.

Limited stock means 0. 2-4 means 0 in stock. 6+ also means 0 in stock

Slept on this one. Doubt there are any in the trig-state area.
I'm so mad I missed this too. I rarely check clearance but since this I have started.

I've set up an Brickseek alert for this and finally one of my local stores dropped the price and it shows 2-3 in stock. However, the Walmart app shows Availability Unknown for that store. Still worth a try?

Thanks!
Too bad that I waited and the availability in Brickseek changed from 2-3 in stock to Not in Stock. In this case I believe the availability info was real. 😢

Got 2 for $21 each. Wasn't even looking for this deal. Just scanned the price as 33 and it showed $21.

I would say if that store is close, yes worth a try. I have had some remarkably good success on Walmart Brickseek deals but I also live in a relatively smaller area and I know countless people on here strike out every single time.

For the record, Brickseek directly pulls what the associates see on their computers/scanners. How they do this I have no idea but they do. The reason you see so many people saying "there were 2-3 in stock but none there" is because they actually are there but just buried deep in the back room somewhere (more unlikely) or there is just poor inventory management (more likely) by either humans, computers, or both, but most likely humans. I actually was able to score a laptop on one of these deals one time via the back room, so I'm not just blowing smoke there.

Walmart.com is usually pretty useless for clearance items, as usually the product has had Walmart delisted as a seller at that point both online and in store. That is not a hard and fast rule but more often than not. The product page will still exist, but it really is just for reference at that point.

Thanks! I was able to get them for $23 with tax! The 1TB version was also in stock according to Brickseek but I have no luck with that one.

Sweet! Glad I could help. Fwiw, with these Brickseek deals I've found as long as you go in with zero expectations whatsoever they can definitely be a more than worthwhile surprise sometimes. Like this is over 75% off at $22, absolutely no brainer worth it if you manage to get it.

If you've done your diligence though but you're now standing in the store empty handed, it's just on to the next one. If you establish expectations you're honestly establishing end disappointment a good amount of the time lol…I've had products say 6+ in stock on BS and nothing, so these Walmart in store clearance deals are definitely the very definition of YMMV but can be very very sweet if you manage to nab them.

Thanks so much! This is actually my first successful Brickseek hunt. 😀
Exactly! It's always YMMV. The 1TB model had 5 in stock and the 500 GB model had 2-3 in stock according to Brickseek so my expectation was pretty low for the 500 GB model. As it turned out I got the 500 GB model. I searched the clearance section like others suggested at first but no dice. It was hidden in the shelf with other drives but it was placed like a book in a bookshelf unlike other drives having their front facing outward so it took me a while to find it.

Thanks to the poster and the person who kicked this up!

I'm on vacay in the middle of nowhere and when I saw this I checked brickseek. Local store had 2-3 of the 1tb drives for $45, when I went there the "new" version was out front and scanned for $169.

I asked him to scan the remaining 500GB, that scanned for $21 so I took it.

Then on my pass out I noticed the boxes behind the first looked slightly different. Score! 3 for $45.

Do I need them? To be honest not really. I will find uses for them though. Wink

A store 30 miles away has them for $30 a pop. Crazy.
