Got a new card recently because I had lost the old one and now every time I go for one of these deals it tells me that I'm not eligible, possibly because my card is not enrolled. Of course the card shows as enrolled. Neither Amazon nor AMEX seems to be able to fix it.

Anyone else experience that?

Even if the card is enrolled your account may not qualify and there is nothing that AmEx nor Amazon customer service can do about the situation. The algorithm for the promo did not choose your account(s) to qualify is all

It's just strange that I used to be taken to a screen that would show me the promotion and say that I'm not eligible. Now it takes me to that screen where you can enroll cards and mentions that my card may not be enrolled. It's also strange that I don't seem to have gotten any of these deals to work since I got the new card a while back

I got the same screen then I add my card and I get this message "American Express® reports that you do not have a Membership Rewards® account."

Exactly. There's something wrong with the system. It even shows that my two cards are enrolled.

It did this to me last time I tried it and I gave up but I would love to get my hands on this 40% off that everyone seem to get.

Did it tell you it might be due to your cards not being enrolled and take you to the enroll card screen?
