Mobile Issue

When scrolling on a phone on an iphone 12 mini I've noticed that the ad's that pop up keep twitching out and jumping around. This then causes the entire page to drag all the way back to the top automatically. This is new and has never happened in the past.

Anyone else having this issue?

Can you post a screenshot of the ad that's causing the issue? Obviously not an intended behavior.

Any additional information about browser, OS version, etc. could also be helpful!

I am having the same issue on the mobile app but not seeing any ads when this is occurring. After scrolling down past a few posts the automatically scrolls back up to the top.

App Version 5.36.0 - 2763
iPhone 12 Pro Max
iOS 14.5.1

EDIT: It does appear to be possibly caused by an ad. Once scrolling a certain length, the ad loads and then causes the app to go to the top of the page. Only occurring with certain ads.

@pretissw has a great example of this. Here is another. At first I thought it fixed itself, but then I realized that once you load more items from the bottom, it triggers the automatic jump back up to the top. The ad doesn't matter as much...

are you using the most recent version of the app? an update was released yesterday afternoon that (hopefully) fixed the issue.

Same issue. Frankly getting ready to stop using the app entirely, despite using Slickdeals for 20 years. Can't scroll more than a page or two without it jumping back to the top, and can't even have time to even really look at the posts.

This last redesign is hot garbage. WTH were Devs thinking? Didn't anyone test this release or do any QA?

Still jumps a bit, but at least it doesn't jump back to the top every time an ad loads.

Still not sure what was wrong with the last structure. Ads seemed to load immediately rather than only loading after you've scrolled past. Maybe designate ad spots so they are fully boxed in fixed size. Then when they load they won't cascade all of the posts down

5.36.1 Doesn't work. Still jumps back to the top. Your fix hasn't worked unfortunately. Hopefully your team can figure out a solution soon.

The ad's are definitely what are messing up the scrolling. Not because we all hate ads, but because they are reloading.
