saw this today when looking at chromebooks. If you have the target app, theres a 10% off target circle electronics coupon until 5/22. And 5% red card.

target circle 10% deal https://www.target.com/circle/o/t...e/-/336614

$179 - 10% - 5% gets it down to potentially sub $160
in Laptops (3)

This one is the mediatek cpu so same as the duet. I've played with the duet and it seemed plenty fast though. Felt just as fast as the Intel ones
Not a bad deal. Enough RAM to make it work well 4GB. The Celeron processor is faster than the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. It has two USB A's and two USB C's. No HDMI but you can get a USB C adapter to hook up a monitor.

Downsides:
Low Res screen only 768P
Low Battery life 8 hours.
Not much memory 32 GB but it does have a Micro SD for more. Not sure how well that works. Might be difficult to put Apps on it.

For this price you could do a whole lot worse. This should function for children or web browsing and more.

I paid $180 for my Duet. It was near new used. They have not been out for long so many will be near new. Now EBay has some for $150 new but new sellers so beware. It is much smaller which is what I wanted. Small and light. It has FHD 1980 x 1200. Another thing I liked. But this one is faster.

You HP link is dead, can you mention the name of HP you got? I am in the market for a second $200 Chromebook mainly to get Playstore on it for my toddler. Previously got the Lenovo Duet and its great!

I ended up searching the Walmart site for an HP Chromebook for $179 like they mentioned and the one that came up did not have a touch screen. So if it's the same model that he was referring to then it's not up to par with this in that aspect.

Well true but I bought an adapter for $12 and it has them two USB and an HDMI which I use all the time. So not that hard. The power travels through it to charge the tablet as well. Wireless keyboards will then work even if they are not Bluetooth.

In some ways it is nicer having a smaller tablet and the adapter.

Sorry about that. It is not dead. I must have posted the link directly from "tracking my order" in my Walmart account which wasn't supposed to work. Anyway, the HP Chromebook is here (still for $179): https://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-11-.../797574998

You are right. I forgot about the 'touch screen' feature on the Acer 311. I supposed it's a huge factor for people who'd like to use their Chromebook as a tablet from time to time. I don't intend to use mine that way so I took neither touch screen nor the spin (they should really call it 'flip' rather than 'spin') into consideration when weighing my options.
