With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

Worked for two Hondas... use a unique (or misspelled ) name if you've previously been an active customer.

Worked for me! I used a slightly misspelled name as suggested. These trials are the best because they don't ask for a CC. My issue with SirusXM before is that I always forgot to cancel.

Their ad rates are based on subscribers...paid and non-paid. Same reason magazines will give you free subscriptions.

True, but their music channels don't run any ads. They also have to pay hefty song royalties. And you can't make money by giving it away for free.

when doing a trial of anything, I always put a reminder in my mobile calendar the same months out as the trial runs, company and phone number/webpage to cancel.

I've been using this link (or a similar type promo link) for as long as I have owned my current car (April 2017) every 3 months successfully. I have never paid a cent for XM radio for the last 4 years. I have never given XM my credit card info. 3 free months are up, stations stop working, go back to the link, enter a random name/address, and get it working right back. There has been a couple occasions It has rejected the VIN as "ineligible for trial" BUT, a couple days go by, try again and I am eligible again.

I have a lifetime subscription. Thanks to the Alvarez lawsuit and Sirius/XM losing I can now transfer my subscription as much as I want. For some reason now Sirius doesn't contact me anymore.
Thanks - I had no idea that unlimited transfers were now an option.

You better read up on the Alvarez lawsuit first. You had to be a member of the class action lawsuit to get in on this so if you didn't have an active receiver, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Lifetime transfers are $35 now for unlimited moves but there are variations depending on when you purchased the subscription.

Try this and good luck:

I unsubscribed yesterday using the chat feature, pretty painless way to cancel. I hate how you used to have to call.
