OMG, why do people have to come here to complain about sound quality in the car. It's only music. It is NOT a concert hall. Enjoy the music and do whatever you are doing. If you have dead areas, I could understand that argument. Most people pay around $5 a month, certainly not enough to ever expect HiFi

This,,.agree 100% I was a very long XM sub before they merged..Then little by little they started to remove my favorite channels or merge them. I cut the cord and just use my iPhone in BlueTooth mode and listen to DI.FM in 320k MP3..Sounds so much better and I can now listen to my favorite music again (they removed 'Electric Area' and 'Backspin') to name a few.
Exactly,
1. They removed the only channels/genres I'd listen to.
2. It's a pain to cancel.
3. Low quality sound

In all seriousness. Maybe you're accustomed to poor quality music. For some people, if music quality is bad enough, they would rather turn it off. It really doesn't have to be has bad as you think. The frequency range being too narrow or occasional cutting out can/will be enough. It's just freaking annoying for some. I'm not saying it's the case with Sirius.

That's the problem I have. They are a PAIN to cancel. I just don't sign up because of that. They have really cut their own throats with their tactics.

Same old BS from SIRIUSXM - it is NOT really a "preview" because you do not get any of the subscription channels…you get just three months of a constant sales pitch while replaying a short list of songs over and over.

This time they closed the dal for me…I will NEVER subscribe to their service.
That's not at all true...

Nice find OP. Was able to get a 3 month trial on my car that hadn't had service since the new-car plan expired a year ago. Pretty easy and no CC required.

This guy gets it, the audio is horrible.

If you know your radio id# you can just put in fake info and get it that way, I've had free Sirius in my work car for almost 3 years now lol. A whole bunch of whole foods stores are getting spam mail from Sirius because of me.
Could you please elaborate, How can we do that?

IMHO, about the only way Sirius/XM is worth having, anymore, is when it's free.

I had XM radio in a new vehicle, way back before the two companies merged. And it was pretty decent. Lots of music, no commercials, just the occasional station identification. If S/XM was like that now, I might consider signing up for service.
But it seems that ever since the merger, they have concentrated more on having DJ's that talk too much about stuff I have no interest in (hey, if I wanted talk radio, I'd dial in an AM station!), or talking about what's playing on their other channels....and if I wanted to listen to that channel, it would be one of my pre-set stations! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Adding to that, when you DO want to sign up for service, in order to get it at a reasonable price, you have to go through the whole phone call thing, every 6 to 12 months. Because someone at S/XM seems to think their service is worth way more than it is....but hey, we'll give you a SPECIAL DEAL, for 6 months. Then make you spend a half hour on the phone, threatening to cancel, before they, in the kindness of their hearts, give you another 6 months at that same price. Used to be, that you could pay ONCE, for lifetime service in a vehicle. But they killed that. Probably because they wanted to keep those service reps busy, trying to talk you into keeping your overpriced service.

Thanks for the deal, and take advantage of it, if you can. Then CANCEL.

I used to think SiriusXM was a waste of money, then I got a year for free when I bought my car. It's totally worth it. I love being able to listen to music without some dumb ass "woke" megacorporation taking issue and trying to influence which songs get played on the stations I listen to.
