Just as. FYI. If you do activate radio service, you also get free streaming as well for your phone etc. Also if you have a google nest music device or a Alexa product, you can also stream on that once you connect your Sirius account to it. For example… you can say. "Hey google play Sirius XM channel (say the number or the station name)' and it will play it. It's super good .

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.
Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)
The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

To DIY, download the SiriusXM dealer app, drive to a dealership (I have read not all dealerships work?), then with your radio on siriusxm channel 0 (displays your radio ID) type in your radio id on the app. It should give you a success message on the app and your siriusxm should eventually work on the car.

Hint: if you're on Android and you downloaded/updated the app from the Play Store, then you're using the wrong version.
Like I said, use Fake GPS

What are you going on about? I used the same app to do my mom's car. Why do you keep saying to use a GPS faker app when the issue is not GPS location, but the fact that the cars need to be connected to a Siriusxm satellite to receive the refresher signal? I was trying to activate radio IDs people pmed me, but they could not be activated because their cars were not connected to Siriusxm when I tried sending the signal. Smh.
Because you keep posting a link to the Play Store version that WILL NEVER work. Stop spreading false info.
Yes you do have to have the radio on to receive the activation signal but SiriusXM will re-broadcast that signal for a couple of days.

lol, so how did the app I linked, which is the app I have installed, activate the Siriusxm radio on my mom's car, genius?
I seriously doubt you have ever done the activation via the dealer app. Why don't you post the link to the "right app" then?
Show screenshot of app version and message of successful activation. Otherwise I'm done feeding the troll.
my proof of activating a random dudes radio found via Google image search from the comfort of my bed.

LoL. I'll repeat again. Learn to Google.
You shouldnt offer to activate anyone if you don't know how.
But on a sidenote. Whoever wants it can inbox me their ID since that guy doesn't know what he's doing.
Or maybe you'll just suddenly stop replying in this thread... We'll have to see I guess.

But good to know.
If nothing else, we both learned something today:
-New version works
-Don't need to drive to a dealership to activate
