With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

Worked for two Hondas... use a unique (or misspelled ) name if you've previously been an active customer.

Had the same experience with the OP XM website method back in May and it worked for the 3 months, but after it expired it was no go after multiple attempts with various emails/addresses/names.
Yesterday, tried the new dealer app method and it worked with no problems as I posted above.
People have posted here that the dealer app method is good for 6 months but we'll see if it's 6 or 3 months.

Have you tried the dealer app now?
People have posted here that there was an issue with another older version of the dealer app and it wouldn't work. Perhaps, if you tried the new dealer app version now with the process as described above here by me and others it may work.
Well I already did the XM method. Even though it said 1 month trial I just received an email confirmation that it's 3 months trial.

I'm pretty sure the dealer method is also 3 months, not 6.

This dealer guy posting above says 3 months, but it can be reactivated many times:

I wish they would ditch all the disc jockeys and just play music.

As a dealer I get it for free on all our cars. (I can just reactivate every 90 days for cars in inventory)

I still use my phone most of the time for music

My trial subscription just ended on my New car two days ago. Put radio Id in link and reupped for free for 91 days. Used different name and email. No cc needed.

Took about 5 minutes total including activation.

Thanks op!

When I checked my eligibility, I noticed it said this on the Create your account page: "Once activated, we will communicate to you about your trial subscription via email or telephone."

Just to confirm: I do NOT need access to the email or telephone number I provide in order to activate this deal. Is this correct?

No, bro. Those are needed only in case you use the app on your phone ( needs an account).

Does this include access to their app? I like the content and like to listen on my phone since I am not always in my car.

Count on them to charge an inflated rate once the trial is over. I know it says otherwise, but it's Sirius.

Strongly recommend using a one-time card number.
I've renewed 3 times at 4.99 a month plus tax.

Can you really tell a difference in sound quality through a car stereo? Especially with surrounding noise? I listen to Sirius, FM, and phone apps, probably couldn't tell the difference. Maybe I'm better off not knowing

I personally can tell. I don't really notice it until I switch between the two and turn up the volume. FM vs Sirius is rather clear to me that FM is a cleaner sound/signal. Sirius seems like there is a constant static in the background.
When using a streaming service I can tell without comparison. Bluetooth or a wired connection, I can tell with windows down, kid screaming, and metro traffic in my head Sirius vs streaming.

My audio system in my car is slightly premium so maybe it highlights the better signal?

It is ABSOLUTELY detectable. The audio quality of Sirius XM is absolutely terrible. It has been stated many many times what the bitrate is. It is lower than pretty much anything else that you'd ever listen to!

I been in car stereo in the early 2000s and I can tell you it's definitely FM quality of worse.
with many new cars now have HD FM built in, it's way more inferior.
but I would never pay for SIRIUS or XM so I won't ever complaint about free stuffs

These two methods auto cancel after 3 months as there is NO credit card on file to charge for continuing the service.
There is no need to cancel.
You'll just get email offers to subscribe as a paid customer that you can just direct to the junk folder and disregard.
