With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

Worked for two Hondas... use a unique (or misspelled ) name if you've previously been an active customer.

I drive a 2015 BMW and when my original sub expired long ago it went away but once in awhile it would show back up just to disappear. I initially thought it was some kind of bug but starting to sus they turn it back on to temp you. I love the NBA/NFL stations though…it's nice but I'm too el cheapo to pay for it since I don't drive much anymore.

They have free weeks every so often. You don't have to sign up for it. Your radio will just activate.

"Unfortunately, your trial or paid subscription recently ended and your radio is ineligible for a trial subscription. However, you can start enjoying SiriusXM with this great subscription offer."

Stupid doesn't work on our new 2021 that just expired. Unlike past deals where they activated anyways.

I purchased a lifetime unit off of eBay back in 2014 or 2015 only about 150 dollars or so. It hasn't seen any real use in years.

Let's be honest most of us can't tell the difference between bitrates. We're not all audiophiles. Not to mention the crappy stock radios a lot of cars have.

Not sure it makes sense for Sirius to keep paying for this to be on the front page everyday. Do they want to make sure everyone gets to review the comments on how bad a service they are?

Yet it somehow has a bagillion votes. Not only does it look bad for Sirius, it looks bad for SD (because there's no way this would have that many legitimate upvotes).

This isn't really a good deal. Does it include Howard? Then maybe

Their trials without the premium talk aren't worth anything. Should be a free Google home mini or something thrown in to sweeten the pot. Usually is

This isn't a snake oil audiophile argument, if your car has a CD player load a CD and compare that to XM. Audio streaming isn't some mystical art, plug in a cable or connect your phone over Bluetooth and play a YouTube video. Night and day.

Also if your a person who thinks Howard is a big draw in 2021 and has listened to his attempt at a show over the last 2 years deserves to be parted with their money.

Tbh if you're not clever enough to not use autofill on the free trial form then whatever. Lol.

I can definitely tell. Honestly. The music quality on Sirius could be a lot better.

Back in the day I couldn't tell the difference between FLAC and MP3 when downloading live concerts that had been taped (small bands you've never heard).

I'm one of the lucky ones that was able to snag a lifetime subscription back in 2009 (transferable). So I'm good, but thanks!

I've been on a $5/month plan for years. It sucks having to call every 5 or 6 months, just to cancel, they go through their absurd "deals", which I decline, and always end up with the $5 deal. I set my calendar for a reminder the day before the renewal date to call and "cancel" again. I think I did it via chat last time, no brain cells.

I live in the NYC area, and the local stations are crap, I cannot listen to any of them.

I just got the 3 month trial on dd's inactive radio, which is on file as inactive, but put in a different email address and different name and it said I was eligible. She listens to her own playlists but occasionally diverts to Sirius when I can get a freebie or $1 monthly trial.
