I just cancelled my Sirius XM this morning because I won't pay for any service that has "Neil young radio"
Confused

Weird, but OK. They have featured artist stations every month or so. I can't stand Bruce Springsteen, but he had a channel for a while and I just didn't listen to it since there's like...I don't know...a hundred others?

Was able to extend a current free trial another 3 months for $2.. Know this'll mean me calling them & them begging me to stay, but $2 for 3 months is nice in the short term..

Those are from SirusXM's prospectus, so if they're not accurate someone's in trouble laugh out loud

You have to remember- Sirius radios are built in to nearly every car made today, and they usually offer a subscription. It gets people addicted and they continue to pay for the service as regular radio is unlistenable now due to commercials.

It's a publicly traded company. They are accurate. See, most of us have jobs are are not such cheap a holes that we have to literally scrap the bottom of the barrel to constantly roll free subscriptions. Would I pay the standard $21.99 rate per month? No. But is it reasonable to pay the $90 per year rate and just be done with it? That's what I do. I spend $50 to fill my gas tank or $60 to go out to dinner with my wife, which lasts an hour then it's gone. I'm not so pathetic that I can't pay for a service that I am using. Some of you guys need to get better paying jobs if you are so sad you need to constantly scam the system for FREE. I have to assume you are 16 year olds.

Is Neil Young on Sirius? Had no clue. Guess I'll be re-subscribing! Dropped my Spotify as I don't support the intentional spread of misinformation from Joe Rogan.
Don't get too excited. The artist-specific channels aren't permanent in some cases. Some come and go and I'll wager this one is a one and done channel. Good for a few new subs but it won't be around long. I'd give it a couple months before it's gone.

Lifetime subscriber here (thanks Alvarez lawsuit). Very happy with the service. Not paying is just the cherry on top.

Did the same a few minutes ago. Would not pay 29 a month for it though. I probably would pay 90 a year as others have stated

With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.
Do you know what the bitrate is for HD radio? I stopped listening to satellite radio because of the bitrate and just use other streaming services, like liveXlive
