Worked like a charm! Make sure to use fake information so you can get the 3-month trail. I tried it with my real information and it didn't work until I used the fake information.
I put in fake name, different phone & email but same address and VIN. didn't work. Which info do I fake?

With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.
Then why does Sirius XM preview channel sound better vs FM radio to me?

The last three times I cancelled, I did so with online chat, it was pretty simple, just had to go through the five offers to get me to stay on as a paying customer.
So, not as simple as signing up??

You better read up on the Alvarez lawsuit first. You had to be a member of the class action lawsuit to get in on this so if you didn't have an active receiver, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Lifetime transfers are $35 now for unlimited moves but there are variations depending on when you purchased the subscription.

Try this and good luck:

I was not a part of that lawsuit but I still got in and had my sub transferred.

I was a subscriber for a couple years. They put ad channel in my channel lineup trying to get me to subscribe to … wait for it … Sirius! Not only is this a ridiculous concept, but they prevented me from scrolling through stations. I'd literally have to punch in the channel after the ad and it would let me scroll through 5 stations before hitting their next ad. The only choices I had were to keep scrolling the 5 channels they'd bookended or punch in a number to get outside the bookends and then be able to listen to everything except those 5 stations.
When I called for help, they wanted me to get in my truck, got to a channel, turn on the windshield wipers, step on the brake pedal, etc. I told them I wasn't going to play their games. They put the ad channels in the lineup without my assistance and they could remove the channels or I'd cancel.
So today, I see the coupon on slick deals, I'm commuting to the office more often, and I figure I'll give them another shot.
I log into my account, identify my vehicle, provide payment information, accept the terms, hit subscribe and it starts throwing error messages. Who are you? Please enter your license plate number. Oh we can't find that in our system. Please log in. Can't find your account. Please create an account. Contact chat for help.
So I contact chat. Same thing. Who are you? What's your account number? What's the radio ID number? You can get this by tuning to station 0. Seriously? They had all that information on file until they got my payment info, then they had no idea who I am?
It's this type of nonsense that caused me to leave a couple years ago. Some things never change. Sirius is the worst. It's terrestrial radio for me.

You can also download the Sirius dealer app, spoof your location to a dealership, and activate your radio 3 month trial for free whenever you want. You'll just have to download an older version of the dealer app on a 3rd party site for it to work since they patched the newest one in the play store. I've been doing it for almost a year now with an old radio in my car.

What did they change about the new app to make it not work? Is there some type of dealer verification needed for it now?

Something like that. All I know is it says it's completed or something like that but never registers. I deleted it and downloaded one from one of the .apk sites and it worked right away

my 'SXM Dealer' app says it's version 2.3 if that helps

Run away unless you have 3 hours to cancel at the end. And that, my friend is if you are quick.

I can smell their desperation. They fire all the talent last fall to pay for Howard and lost a ton of listeners, including me. I do miss the music but not for $20/month that increases regularly.
They never figured out the Cablevision pricing model from the 80s is a bad idea

Just tell them you are selling or returning the car. Shuts them down pretty quick.

Anyone know how to send the activation signal? I'm not near my car so they want to text me instructions to do it later but I put in a fake number laugh out loud
