With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

So I had a good run of 3 month free trials using various names and locations. However this last time around, I've been blocked: "Unfortunately, your trial or paid subscription recently ended and your radio is ineligible for a trial subscription. However, you can start enjoying SiriusXM with this great subscription offer."

Strangely, I was able to activate one of my cars through the Canada free trial ("John Wick of Montreal Quebec") but the other car won't work using any. Will this go away eventually or am I permanently blocked? I also thought of using a VPN when signing up to see if that works but I fear that my Radio ID/ESN has been flagged.

Thoughts?

Chiming in on their scummy policy of harassing trial users when their trial period is expiring/expired. I received calls, emails, and letters in the mail on a near daily basis. I had to tell them multiple times to stop contacting me. The worst part was I never signed up for their garbage--I leased a vehicle and it apparently included a trial to Sirius XM, which is clearly an in for them to harass you into subscribing.

I've been riding the free train for for this a while now, I just so happen to keep buying stuff that come with free 3-6 month trials, so don't think ill ever pay for sirus.

My free trial ended a month or so ago and whenever I try to get another 3 months (using bogus name, email etc.) I get this:

"Unfortunately, our systems are down please try again later. For help Chat with an agent or call 1-855-241-5969."

This happens with the VIN and license plate lookups. Is my radio blacklisted?

Got the trial on 1/29 and was just able to get it once again 7/4

Might be on 6 month timeouts for re-trial

I put in my old contacts to my old coworkers that I dont like each time 😂😂😂

re-activated my account and immediately remembered why I canceled. created a password and stupid security questions no problem. go log in to my new account - unable to log in your email or password is incorrect. reset it succesfully with a new password. unable to log in your email or password is incorrect. reset it successfully again. same GD error message. now my account is locked for 15 minutes. trash, will just cancel it again i guess.

What a scam. Remember when one of the big selling points of "satellite radio" was no commercials? Sirius is FILLED with them. Just be wary. Filled with them shilling for their other channels or even products.
