With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

Got it but had to pay the $2. Probably because I just cancelled the $4.99 a month 3 days ago. Could have renewed at this price pushed the 24 month deal but only offered 12. I'll take 3 for 2 and do the Sirius dance once again in 3 via chat......

I just got an offer in the mail today that some here have received that's 3 years service for $99 (plus tax/fees upfront). Previously, I was getting $60 for 1 year offers several times a year for several years. It's a little tempting.

That is interesting. But it looks like some are saying it doesn't have all the channels, like missing Howard Stern. The letter I got said it includes 400+ channels, including 155 in my car. (I guess the rest are app only.) While they gave a link, maybe I can call to negotiate 5 years like you said some were able to do.

Hrm... I've only ever known of 1 $99 offer like you mentioned and it was in the linked post. Perhaps you have something targeted to you and not just an open offer for old vehicles like the other one? Either way, worth a shot to try for 5 if you are considering it and will have the car that long (or can transfer it).
