With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

Worked for two Hondas... use a unique (or misspelled ) name if you've previously been an active customer.

My family likes XM radio, I went ahead and purchased the service after several uses of the 3 month free trials. I contacted their help desk and requested a 12 month subscription and the total came to around $4.80 a month. Worth it for me to not deal with the hassle of requesting new subscriptions and running out of service at inconvenient times.

Even free is too expensive to have to deal with the customer service so often. The time spent is simply not worth the ads, DJs, poor music selection, and low bitrate.

Paid only $2 fee for another 3 months. This would be the third time I signed up with the same car.

Did you need a "real" account and set a reminder to cancel before the 3 months are up? What about after 3 months, could you try the free trial (or $2 option) again?

This free trial worked for me once, second time no go. I'll wait a month and try again. Not a big loss if I don't get it free again.

I just used my old account. I usually cancel a week before it expires.

I bought 3 years for $130 for 1 vehicle + streaming. It was worth it to me not to have to haggle with XM at every annual renewal.

Do they ever offer the 3 years for $60 (? maybe it was $90 or $100) special any more?

I don't need the Platinum plan, just the Music Showcase I think has the Classic Rock and 60's and 70's channels - that's really all I listen to.

I thought this was pretty well known. I sign up for a new three month trial every, well, three months. Have the date on my google calendar, early morning (before the car's taken out of the garage, thus it hasn't received the shutoff signal yet) I sign up for a new trial. Have to make sure to use a different email, possibly name and zip too (not sure). Have two vehicles on the same schedule so I do one after the other. Haven't paid for XM in years.
It is a promoted post. So the folks for Sirius is reading it. Seriously.

I've received the 3 years for $100 in the mail somewhat recently. I'm they also add tax and fees.
