Just did a quick search and it seems these corrode even quicker than the normal Duracell batteries. No thanks!

So they'd waste money on R&D when they can just apply a different label to the batteries? No. The simple answer is usually the correct one. There's no law prohibiting them selling the same formula to different buyers. They own the formula.
so i can just call up the chinese duracell company, order a new brand battery. ask them to make sure to use the same duracell specs and go on twitter announce that my battery are the exact same duracell for much cheaper?

I used to buy Kirkland batteries, but practically each and everyone one of them eventually leaked and no they were not left in items for long before they leaked. The main difference, if they are indeed made by Duracell, is that Kirkland doesn't offer to fix or replace your damaged products whilst Duracell does. Your only remedy with Kirkland batteries is to return them to the store. I once gave them back more batteries than came in a single package, because so many leaked across multiple packages.

Bought a pack of these Optimum last year and most of them have leaked already still in the package not used. I have a pack of the Quantum that are 5-6 years old now and still no leaks. I would stay away from the Optimum

"Optimum?" Oh, did they find a faster way for their batteries to leak in your devices or unused in the package?

Cheaper to get Costco batteries
Still worth it. In my experience they've lasted twice as time longer than any battery I've used before

Shouldve called them, their first batch which came out last year was faulty. All mine leaked within months, so i called them and they gave me no trouble, just sent me new ones that have yet to leak.

I have had leaking issues with Duracell, Energizer, Insignia, generic, etc. I bought the Rayovac AA from Home Depot around Christmas and so far so good. Will be looking for those AAA this year.
