Solid price on the 48. I find the 32 tend to get lost at the bottom of my pack pretty easily, so the taller height helps. And you can easily refill a lot of hydration bladders with these for longer hikes.

Or in another application: 4 beers.
Excellent bottle and Made in USA and not Made in China! In for four!
I always have 1 in the fridge and one that I'm drinking out of. The 1.5L bottles are the perfect size for me since I drink so much water.

Do yourself a favor: If you are using it for drinking directly (ie not as a storage bottle), get a good cap for it. I have mine fitted with a 1st gen humangear capCAP. But a lot of other caps work too (such as most CamelBak caps). They are well worth the cost (about the same as the bottle itself) over splash guards that I have found to never fit right and I've had fall out of the bottle, and even into the bottle.

I tried to look it up on Amazon, I'm still not sure if capCAP fit the 48oz nalgene bottle...
