Yes and no. The Series 6 has a faster processor, I believe (so will last longer), but it moreso comes down to whether you want an always on display or not. I prefer that. The additional sensors really aren't that important to most people. The Series 7 sounds like it'll be a big step up, but we just don't know right this moment what it'll include with 100% accuracy. I'm holding out for a blood glucose sensor.

Not sure why it lists "always on Retina display" as I believe that's only on the Series 6.

I know people keep referencing this, but it must be because the red sales are not doing good (which seems to be common). It would be great for an occasional pop of color, but I am a graphic designer/artist and would not want the red watch all the time. Too limiting in style choices to pair with bands.

In store or online?

My wife got me a SE for my birthday this week from Costco right before they went on sale but I also want a different size, so I need to either order from costco or price match it to someone else.

Does anyone know if you can turn off the "always on display"?

How does "faster processor" mean "lasts longer"? Genuine question. I did not know those correlated.

Same way that if you buy a computer with a faster processor it has potential to live a longer life: make it with more software updates, keep up with apps as they advance, etc. If you buy a base model technology device it has a higher chance of being out of date quicker.

Notice I said potential, chance, etc. It isn't 1:1 correlation. Easy example when I buy a laptop I buy it with a much faster processor and it lasts me longer than it would if I had cheaped out and bought a base model. Other factors there too like RAM, HD, etc. al things that could also limit you.

Thanks, my daughters Fitbit versa just died after 2 1/2 years. This seemed like a good price point for a teenager as she doesn't need the extra features in a 6.

It depends. Series 6 does come with a slightly faster processor (15-20% faster) and a few additional health monitoring sensors. However, I noticed the battery dies faster on the 6 with the always-on display and the faster processor... I swapped my 6 with the SE and I've been pretty happy with it.
