Bluetooth mice are the only ones that I look for now. Between not having to worry about the kids losing the dongle and the fact that it can connect to anything from my pc to tablet...to even a phone or media player like a Rasberry Pi makes it a no-brainer. The catch is that most have sealed batteries. That this one uses an AA makes it seem like a winner.

I've never used a BT mouse. Are they as responsive as the dongle mice or is the experience exactly the same?

In my experience, they seem about the same. Maybe a little better reach with the Bluetooth.
I am not a gamer so I have never sought out something that sensitive..but then there are plenty of Bluetooth gaming mice...so I doubt that will be an issue.

Dongle mice (2.4ghz) perform better hands down, there's a reason all wireless gaming mice use dongles...
BT devices on the other hand suffer from interference; performance of BT device vary signifantly from BT chip to BT chip (also subject to chip placement) OS tend to deprioritize BT devices; you can't perform certain actions e.g. wake up your PC w/ BT mice.
