These are great - kind of wish there was an option with less packaging, but I get it. Seems like a magnet for absorbing moisture in the air, so the packets are the only way it works.

This is true because the shakers are not the same product and contain maltodextrin as the primary ingredient.

A year and a half ago, the 500 count box for around 12, was listed here. That one is now 25 some. I bought it because it is all natural and still using them from that purchase. Know that, like real lime and lemon, these do irritate your bladder and you may thus need frequent urination

If you have urinary tract issues citric acid may "irritate your bladder", but if you are a normal healthy person you should be fine.

This stuff is awesome, it almost perfectly replaces lime if you don't have any. I use it in cooking and cocktails in a pinch and no one can tell I'm not using real limes.

An odd question here:
Can I use these with water when fasting and not break the fast?

Depends on who you ask, but I say yes. Stuff like this never broke mine.

get a bottle of liquid stevia in the small squirt bottle...helps with taste...makes limeade easily

also the packets are good to transport to restaurants ... allows you to flavor water without paying for soda

It's really not that hard to read the label. Citric acid, lime juice and lime oil.
They are saying that citric acid is a byproduct of when you invite black mold to a molasses party.
