For me it was snug. Honestly I'd rather have the Charmin ultra soft that doesn't fit my holder either. Wider softer thicker. Change your holder. Cheers!

Personally I prefer Quilted Northern to Costco, which I bought for the first time a few months ago after my previous QN supply ran out and I couldn't find any good deals. Costco is good too but what annoys me to no end (and maybe I just got a bad batch?) is the perforation with Costco (oftentimes won't tear cleanly and I end up using more) and QN has no such issues. I also think QN is much softer and durable.

Around .025/sq. ft is fair, not slick. Under 2¢/sf is slick. Not bad. Not great.
