It has an app where it notifies you when the load is running or finish.

Also, you can remote start the washer or dryer. Good if you are on electric TOU rate plans

Great deal. This washer was #1 recommended by Consumer Reports last I checked.

Gas model dryer on sale as well, $100 more than electric.

Your laundry area will dictate which type of dryer you should use. If you have a gas hook-up, go with that. Electric needs 220V. Running either a new 220V or a gas line is expensive so go with whichever is in place.

Do not buy costco appliances. At least in the Chicago area. I'm having the worst delivery experience of all time. Unbelievably unprofessional "contractors". 3 trips in and I don't have a working washer dryer. I'd recommend checking for places that do their own install or roll the dice.

As previously mentioned, many carriers suspended white glove delivery services due to COVID. So while Costco may ship it, once it arrives for delivery, the carrier may advise they only deliver to front porch, garage, etc…. They will not come in and perform the removal of old equipment or the install.

You can download the LG Thinq App to remotely control the washer and dryer and check the elapsed time as well as change settings. Pretty useful.

Thanks for sharing. Is there anyway to know what the carrier will do prior to ordering? Or maybe people can cancel their order if the carrier says they'll only deliver to doorstep instead of install. I was lucky enough to get fantastic white glove delivery in January. Thinking of having my dad order these units for his house but want to ensure full delivery, installation, and haul away since he's getting old 😁

Costco will normally allow you to cancel and return the product if you find the delivery options unacceptable.
