It has an app where it notifies you when the load is running or finish.

Also, you can remote start the washer or dryer. Good if you are on electric TOU rate plans

Great deal. This washer was #1 recommended by Consumer Reports last I checked.

Gas model dryer on sale as well, $100 more than electric.

Your laundry area will dictate which type of dryer you should use. If you have a gas hook-up, go with that. Electric needs 220V. Running either a new 220V or a gas line is expensive so go with whichever is in place.

I'm not hating on the deal, but I'm not a fan of the tech. These things have all kinds of circuitry. I still like the mechanical timer appliances because the timers are cheaper modules to replace. A friend of mine had problems with her washer about an hour into the cycle. It took 2 repair guys replacing 5-6 different boards and it still wasn't fixed....not LG specifically...was Kenmore. Appliance repair should be quick and easy.

I really like the more industrial models like what we ended up with. Stainless tub top load washer and a 7cu ft dryer. Front loaders are only used in laundromats because they're stackable... otherwise, they wouldn't be a thing. They're only big now because of water consumption, but I don't want HE....I want clean clothes. 😀
After the Lg die I replaced it with Samsung and I am happy with us as well. For the price and the time it lasted I think it's not bad.

that would be a horrible idea. Best Buy charges for every little thing like delivery, Installation, installation parts, haul away, etc. Everything that Costco provides free of charge. Costco is the best place to buy a washer/dryer if the price is right, all you need to do is add tax. Most other places charge for all those other things.

This is a tempting price. How do you all think this compares with the Maytag MVWP575GW [standardtvandappliance.com] and MEDP575GW [standardtvandappliance.com]. I ended up getting these for $1750 with shipping and installation included. Decided on this set over others based on some recommendations I've read elsewhere on the internet. They may not be the best looking washer and dryers on the market, but they have a good warranty and seem to be well built.

As previously mentioned, many carriers suspended white glove delivery services due to COVID. So while Costco may ship it, once it arrives for delivery, the carrier may advise they only deliver to front porch, garage, etc…. They will not come in and perform the removal of old equipment or the install.
Not true. I purchased a pair of LG a few weeks ago from Costco. Delivered on the estimated date, installed and took the old unit away.

I bought these a week ago but they have not shipped yet for $1700 with installation and delivery. They aren't the prettiest washer and dryer to look at and they are not wifi enabled, but they seemed to have a good warranty and looked well built.
LG is better. Go check out consumer report rating

It will all depend specifically on the area and carrier doing the delivery. So YMWV based on who and where the item is being delivered.

What would you recommend I buy to have ready for the installers? I figure if I already have them purchased and waiting they can use my better hoses etc than the standard stuff. I've never bought a washer / dryer (this is replacing the inherited W/D) so I'd appreciate some guidance Smilie
I don't know if the installers would use items you supply (might be a liability thing). I personally prefer the hoses encased in braided stainless steel. And more importantly, tees made from solid metal, if you need those.

What are the benefits of the pedestal? Other that raising the washer and dryer? Mine are already raised on a built wooden stand in our basement
For me the most important benefits are that doing laundry is a lot easier on your back when you have pedestals, or raise the machine. The pedestals have drawers for storage, but frankly we hardly use them. Still wouldn't want the machines without them...

Can you guys tell me what's good about having WiFi on your washer/dryer/refrigerator? I know I am missing something!
My 6+ years old LG laundry set supports wifi and I never bothered to look into it or set it up. If I miss out on something then I guess it's best I'm kept in the dark... They do our laundry, so far without any issues, and that's all I care about...

The cost of use can change. Depends on the cost of your electricity, whether or not you can get an electric tariff for Time of day service, or even if you can get natural gas at all (some municipalities have started to regulate natural gas connections b/c climate change, earthquake hazards,...)
