LG and Samsung are essentially the same thing. I have had my Samsung refrig and LG Washer/Dryer for 6 years. Both are flawless.
I will say,The dryer is annoying because the lint catcher on the dryer has a fundamental problem that overtime it won't secure properly and clothes will begin catching and ripping. However, I bought a new lint catcher and it seems they have rectified it now.

I had a Samsung washer that died on me within 4 years and several issues of malfunctioning. My LG washer has had zero issues for the past 3 years, cleans better and turbo wash is awesome.
My Samsung fridges (two of them) both had issues with the ice maker within the first 2 years and one died after about 5-6 years.
Don't get me wrong... I'm not a fan boy. Most of my TVs are Samsung (including a Q8), my phone is an S21, and my stove is Samsung. But Samsung fridges and washers/ dryers are trash and I'll continue to avoid them until its reputation in these appliances drastically improve over time.

Item #1463540
Model WM4200HBA | DLEX4200B
$1599
Got both $1625 OTD with tax included ($31 back each on executive & costco citi card rewards, with the $50 off $500 which i just got in the costco chat. That paired with 2+2yr on the warranty, no brainer here.
Never fall for these gimmicky appliances, especially LG/Samsung.
If you ever have an issue, good luck getting replacement parts from them without resorting to pulled parts from ebay or generic no-name ones from Amazon. LG/Samsung will not sell the majority of replacement parts directly to the consumer or even repair clinic (some, but most they will not sell you). Most repair companies refuse to work on LG/Samsung products, and many "approved" repair companies that LG/Samsung direct you to won't even call you back or will tell you they haven't been on the list for years, or they only do commercial now.
When even a repair company doesn't want your money, that should be telling
I fully expect this post to get downvoted into oblivion. That's fine
