It has an app where it notifies you when the load is running or finish.

Also, you can remote start the washer or dryer. Good if you are on electric TOU rate plans

Great deal. This washer was #1 recommended by Consumer Reports last I checked.

Gas model dryer on sale as well, $100 more than electric.

Your laundry area will dictate which type of dryer you should use. If you have a gas hook-up, go with that. Electric needs 220V. Running either a new 220V or a gas line is expensive so go with whichever is in place.

Yep, Lowe's. Price mistake that they honored, IIRC. I guess I'll count myself lucky we've had so little trouble so far, and with kids we do laundry quite a bit.

I wouldn't buy Samsung large appliances these days, though, even with the good experience. They're total garbage.

Keep your ears open.. if you hear a stampeding herd of elephants in your laundry room, get in there quick. The failure causes the drum to come loose and wobble hard for a few minutes. The rubbing can cause a fire.

They're all the same guts, only the fancy stuff changes. I'll pin the tab to keep an eye on price, we were limited in timing because we hadn't found a home to buy yet! The size of the dryer is the real key else I'd be getting the regular series and not this orphan. Our laundry room will be right off the kitchen so wifi alerts are moot. The only really memorable difference to the signature series is size and the stainless tub in the dryer.

went with the OP LG for 1449 in white. And use the $50 cpn on top of it for $1399 plus tax, solid deal. The extra .5cuft wasn't worth another $150 ($1599 4200 model) for me. Both have the steam functionality and 5 washer jets and wifi apparently.

Many talking about, they wouldn't buy Samsung or LG again. Which one would you buy? I have Samsung front loaders now and have been trouble free for who knows how long. Maybe 10 years? I know they won't last forever, but now I wouldn't know what to buy when they die. Ideas?

I recently bought the LG Stackable Washtower last month. Had to get it converted from Natural Gas to Liquid Propane. Tried to get local plumbers to do it, but many didn't know how. Called many appliance repair shops that specialize in washer and dryers, and many didn't want to touch my brand new shiny LG washing machine / dryer (or any Samsung). They recommended I return it and get a Speed Queen without all the fancy bells and whistles, because they rarely break down and are what commercial laundromats use. To each their own, I finally found someone willing to do it, and am using it right now.

Depends on what you have set up in your house. If you've got a 240V, get electric because running a gas line will be expensive. If you have a gas line, get a gas dryer because it will be a few hundred $ to run a 240V circuit, unless you know how to do it yourself.

I had a LP line in my house already, so I went with a gas dryer, but had to get it converted from NG to LP. They say gas runs hotter and reaches temp quicker, therefore using less electricity.

I guess it all also depends on how much gas or electricity costs in your area.

I'm moving into a new construction condo and would like buy this as my washer/dryer set. There is a washer drain pan already installed on the floor and it measures as "27 x 30 ID" and "30 x 32 OD" which I assume means internal and outer dimensions.

Looking at the LG specifications for this washer I see:
Washer Dimensions: W x D x H - 27 in. x 30.25 in. x 39 in.

I'm concerned about that extra 0.25 inch of Depth (30.25 in.) and was wondering if anyone has used this washer with a drain pan of the same dimension above and if there were any issues?

I waited for it for so long. I dont think they will get it soon. It been out of stock as some one mentioned for more than 3mons. I finally got this with 50 off coupon and i believe this is a pretty good deal too.
