It has an app where it notifies you when the load is running or finish.

Also, you can remote start the washer or dryer. Good if you are on electric TOU rate plans

Great deal. This washer was #1 recommended by Consumer Reports last I checked.

Gas model dryer on sale as well, $100 more than electric.

Your laundry area will dictate which type of dryer you should use. If you have a gas hook-up, go with that. Electric needs 220V. Running either a new 220V or a gas line is expensive so go with whichever is in place.

Oh, dont get me wrong, I think it's totally worth it. I think that Costco generally does a better job at not selling sub-par items, so that's why I asked. Maybe, I am mistaken and Costco also cuts corners.

Hoping the LG appliances will do be good....I like the 29 minute wash cycle, it would always be an hour in the front load washer before.
My existing top loader was a 3.2 cubic feet model from years ago. So 5.0 will already be a huge upgrade lol

I think the issue is the installation company provides the parts required for the install, but i could be wrong. I think it's safe to say that it's typical for installers to use the cheaper hoses and the dryer y fitting comes with the dryer so it's not something they provide.

Just FYI black steel is simply a color. The washer is not made of stainless steel or anything, it's still plastic
