Depends on what you are doing. Cotton works better for everyday comfort. Polyester works better for running and some other sports, since it dries faster and there is less friction which means less blisters. On the other hand, polyester would make your feet sweat & smell more, plus they wear out a lot faster.

I prefer whatever thorlos have. Dont remember exactly. cheap polyester socks my feet burn and itch even if i don't move.

It's difficult to find mostly cotton no-shows, and the polyester ones definitely make your feet/shoes rank. I used to buy the Under Armor charged cotton ones, but they're really thick. Cotton-poly is probably the best compromise (the closer to 50-50, the better).

it dries faster but it makes you sweat much more and quicker

Really? I have the grey variation of these and they've lasted about 2 years so far, even with gym use.

I've been running in Saucony shoes for over 10 years. Big fan. Their socks stink. Never had socks break down as fast as these.
