Worthless tools. The brand sucks. Side cutters don't even cut. Break instantly. Invest in good tools like Klein

For the budget minded DIY person, I don't know that Klein tools are in scope...any single tool of theirs would exceed $20 bucks. If you wanted to do some basic electric work these tools would fit the bill. For a little more I really like the new brand from Harbor Freight called Quinn. They have a 4 piece set for 22 bucks that includes linesman, diagonal cutters, long nose, and groove joint pliers. You'd have to fill in for the screw drivers, wire stripper, and belt/pouch though. For $20 bucks this is a great deal assuming all of the tools, or most of the tools are free from manufacturing defects and are of usable quality.

I paid somewhere around $40 for a set of Klein tools around BF. Home Depot usually has a sale every year. It was this set: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein.../308709644 minus the needle nose pliers.

Worth waiting if you don't need anything ASAP.

Pretty low rent tools, but if you don't already have diagonal cutters or a decent wire strippers, may be worth a look.

I have these, got them for a gift. The tools are pretty cheap quality, but they fit their purpose. The wire cutters are kinda dull and it's difficult to cut specific gauges when you squeeze down - it seems like they don't line up or something. The pouch is really tight, so kind of difficult to pull tools out with one hand. FWIW: $20 is fine for the convenience but I'm sure there's better tools out there. I'm not an electrician, but have turned the needle nose into snub nose pliers trying to route a ground through a 200A panel.

What were you trying to cut? Nail or chain link fence?

I wouldn't buy these for myself because I'm a tool snob but I did buy this as a gift for someone that needed them badly and I knew they didn't take care of their tools. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and so far they have done everything they are expected to do. Maybe not Klein but way better than HF.

You sound like the guy that tries to cut a bolt with wire cutters and gets mad it doesn't work.

These are fine. Yes, there are better options, but you'll get way more then 20 bucks of use out of these.

These are not the best tools, but for emergency, they should do work fine. Serious professional tools are 10x more price.

Better than the plastic toy tool sets you buy your toddler but not by much.
