I never thought about using them as a TV speakers. How did you hook them up? Any adapters needed?

I have to agree with you these are great speakers. The pair I have is at least 10 years old, maybe 15. Looks like they've been slightly redesigned since then, hopefully the quality didn't go down. You really can't beat them for the price
3.5 from the headphone output off the TV. That is how I have them hooked up to TV in bedroom. Turn the klipsch volume up and then you have some volume control with tv remote, so you're not constantly getting up to mess with speaker volume.

thanks for all the responses to my question on the first page folks! You guys rock. I think you have me convinced. Does anyone know if Costco stores have either matched the price or know if they price match their site?

I had the 4.1 version of these probably 20 years ago. They were awesome. The 5.1 version were always hard to find and are still worth good money today. Hopefully the current version of these is decent. I picked up a set for the garage.

I've had these for about 6 years. They work and sound great but used very infrequently.

Great speakers. The only downside is the lack of on/off switch.

I really wish Costco's site showed in-warehouse purchases. I bought this a month/month and half ago and don't know if I paid $80, $90 or $100 for it and there isn't a way to call and ask either.
You likely paid 90, I found the expired slick deal from Costco

well mine dont have that but they are unbelievable and I honestly couldn't even imagine they can be any better than they already are. They sound like $500 speakers at least.

keep doubting when I see a deal pop up on these. Lots of reviews on Costco saying these didn't last long/failed pretty quickly. Anyone have any counter to that?
I've had 2. Both subwoofer blew out when I had a power surge

Would this be better than a vizio soundbar? Mine is an old model but at the time got really excellent reviews.

Absolutely. The sound bar does not have the benefit of a richer bass. Even if you turn off the bass in this unit the speakers alone has its own respectable bass and cleaner sound.
