And, yeah, the technology is almost a decade old. But it's still very good for what it is. And, as the sheer hideousness of most cheap knockoffs demonstrates, Logitech designed things right in the first place.
A) Most webcames built into laptops are crap
B) Logitech can't make enough of these to meet demand, and it has been that way for a year, as the world has mostly gone to working at home and video conferencing.
There's a huge market right now. But the C920/920e//922 is good enough for 99.99% of the people who are using it.
There are better webcams out there, but not at a comparable price.
Here's the thing though, the C920 still looks great if you have the proper lighting. That is honestly the biggest problem that most people have. If you want to look like a pro then you'll need to drop another $20-50+ on a ring light or even more on big studio lights to light up your face and everything else evenly. Most streaming and conferencing services can't even match the quality of the webcam so there really has been no need.
