For those of you who have been on the fence about a breville barista express or pro, and have been trying to use the BBB 20% coupon without any luck, I stumbled upon this just released unit from Amazon. Looks like it checks a lot of boxes including PID, and comes with a 58 mm portafilter, tamper and milk jug.

For 250 beans, seems like a good deal.

This is the regular price FYI. Just wanted to pass it along.

If you are curious about espresso, please take a watch at general "fancy" terms in the espresso bubble.

Interesting. I can't imagine it being any good, but who knows? The fact that it comes with a pretty nice looking milk pitcher and an all-metal tamper is impressive. Unfortunately, all but one of the reviews are from someone who got a free machine, so they're kind of worthless because they all seem to have little or no experience making espresso. One person is commenting how expensive (!) the machine is and several rave about how it really is a "commercial" machine. Yeah, let me know when the local coffee shops start using this. Lol. One of the "Vine" reviewers does put the machine on blast with a one-star review, but, again, you have to wonder about their espresso expertise. It's be great to have someone with experience play with it a little.

I was just looking a little closer at the photos and it's probably telling that they couldn't bother to make sure the lettering on the Single and Double buttons line up with each other.

The bigger question is how do you get to be one of these Amazon Vine Reviewers that get so many things for free! Sign me upApplause

I assume commercial here implies advertisement as this doesn't even come close to a prosumer. I would spend the extra money and get a separate grinder and machine.

Me too LOL, it's based on helpful reviews on Amazon, if you will keep reviewing and people will find your reviews helpful you might become part of this special club

I still crank my Breville and love it, but I did get it for like $350 before everyone and their housecat decided Breville is the one to have. At the time, Rancilio Sylvia was the one to have.
For the price of the Breville, I'd be looking for something else these days if a replacement was needed.

I guess I'm a hipster then?

As a longtime coffee geek, I can tell you that these "all in one" machines are never going to be as good as a separate grinder and espresso machine.

$250 seem like a pretty great deal for conical burr grinder, PID and 58mm portafilter. At 1/3rd the price of the ever popular BES870XL, this thing could be a serious contender if the build quality is decent.

The sponsored reviews are suspect, but still seems like a stellar price point.

Never is a long time. Not that I disagree with you. It's just that some of these machines do a great job and a side by side comparison and the experience is close (for the majority). I do believe the journey of making a cup of espresso every step of the way certainly adds to the experience, flavor and feeling. Kind of like growing your own tomatoes as opposed to buying them.

Idk man, my Breville rocks. I've put away my burr grinder because the burr grinder built-in is just perfect.
