I've used lowes valspar, home depot behr, and sherwin Williams mid tier. SW is by far the best paint, goes on thick and you don't have to do multi coats, but pretty expensive. Behr was 2nd choice and actually have been using that for all my painting needs, it's just as good as SW. Valspar is thin, requires multiple coats and I wasn't a fan of it. Just comes down to what you like better. But those are my recommendations.

Go to a Sherwin Williams store. They always have 30% off sales. Superpaint is usually good for most interior jobs. Best coverage it self levels the roller marks and brushes and easy to work with. End up saving money by not needed to go back and buy that extra can.
I just bought paint at Sherwin William's. It is not true they always have 30% off. Last week it was $10 off only. Also SW is out of a lot of the paints due to an ingredient shortage (polymers in the paint). I had to drive 2 hours round trip to run down duration bright white.
Note - Lowe's gets their paint from Sherwin Williams and Valspar (a Sherwin Williams brand).

Pretty weak compared to past years. I guess they're selling enough without the usual rebates.

Then a) buy some stain or b) don't buy at all (:
Thanks!!
FWIW, I had contractor insist on using SW paint ($36/G with his discount) in my primary home but then he had to do 3 coats and he got tired. Stopped showing up on time or not show up at all. So ended up firing him. Then had another contractor come out who told me that he would be fine with whatever paint I buy. So ended up with HD Behr and honestly, it was better than SW in coverage. Didn't need 3 coats like SW needed.
